Martin F. Maliga

 

Martin is a mortgage lending professional with a 22-year record of high performace as an executive.  He has division level experience directing national underwriting operations of up to 250 million dollars in loans.  He is a skilled director with focus on building and sustaining business relationships, as well as an expert in building teams which consistently exceed established goals.  Martin is proficient in creating succession strategies and developing personnel.  He has demonstrated significant ability in preventing and resolving difficult customer service requests.  

 

After losing his best friend Frank Garfi in the World Trade Center collapse in 2001, he moved to South Florida and became employed in the mortgage industry as a loan officer.  Upon witnessing the energy in this exciting field he wanted to learn everything he could about the mortgage business.  He went from retail to wholesale and obtained his mortgage broker license, as well as his correspondent lender license in 2004.  When the mortgage industry collapsed in 2008, he was hired by USAA Federal Savings Bank and underwrote mortgages for 12 years.      

 

On February 2, 2020 right before the pandemic, Martin was involved in a devastating motorcycle accident and spent one year recuperating.  He encountered Our Creator in a new and very genuine way.  The name High Ridge Lending is representative of his faith.  The term High Ridge is from Psalm 18:2 "The Lord is my high ridge, my stronghold, my deliverer.  My God is my rocky summit where I take shelter, my shield, the horn that saves me, and my refuge."
